Step by step method

  • Step 1

    Preheat the oven to 425°F or 220°C

  • Step 2

    Rinse the whole chicken and then dry. Season it with salt and pepper and put the half lemon inside.

  • Step 3

    Now tie the chicken legs with kitchen string and put the chicken in a roasting pan.

  • Step 4

    In a saucepan, melt butter with olive oil and squeeze the remaining half lemon on it.

  • Step 5

    Brush this mixture on the chicken and bake in the center of the oven for about 50 mins.

  • Step 6

    Remove chicken from the oven and let it rest for 5 mins.

  • Serve with roast potatoes and fresh salad.
